VABODE offers Day Treatment services through its Managed Alternative Treatment in Education (MATE) program for school aged children.  In partnership with area schools, School M.A.T.E. helps maintain children having difficult to manage behavior in their school environment by providing support throughout the school day, and afterschool with social and interpersonal skills reinforcements that teach children a better way to communicate their feelings.

School M.A.T.E. is under the direction of actual special educators and mental health professionals that specialize in the development and management of child behavior using VABODE’s person centered approach.

School M.A.T.E. provides support to students at risk of removal from class or school; we offer a systemic approach to  managing child behavior starting at home, in the school, and community.  Daily instruction to students is provided that reinforces social skills and pro-social behavior.

School M.A.T.E. is located in many area schools and in select community centers near you.

Your child has a lot to say about what is happening at school?

When children speak, VABODE listens.

We listen to their words…

Their silence…

Their behavior…

Their anxiety and frustration…

No one knows your child the way you do. No one cares for children the way we do.

School M.A.T.E’s approach is unique.

We match your child’s interests, communication style, and challenges by forming natural supports your child can relate to the way children relate to one another.

Give your child the edge. Give your child a voice.  School M.A.T.E.
